Energy management

By optimising heating in the manufacturing areas and the offices we have guaranteed that energy wastage is kept to a minimum.

We have ensured equipment and lights are switched off when not in use in order to reduce energy use as much as possible. Where it is feasible we have made use of PIR detectors which operate lights only when a room is occupied, for example our meeting rooms, training suite and customer showroom.

We are currently undertaking a compressed air leak detection survey and repairs to any identified leaks. Delivered compressed air is a very expensive form of energy, up to 5 times more expensive than electricity. As a result reducing air leaks is the single most important energy saving measure that can be performed.

We have also encouraged our employees to be more conscious of energy saving practices with our internal campaign. This highlights means of making energy sayings within the workplace with posters around the premises suggest energy saving initiatives. Staff are also encourage to put forward their own suggestions for positive ways the company can make energy reductions.
