The Future

At Nuaire we are proud of our achievements to date. Unlike some companies who have been accused of "green washing" to be "seen to be green" we believe that our actions to reduce our impact on the environment are proof of our genuine commitment

However we realise that this is only the beginning and we are committed to the ongoing improvement of our environmental performance with planned environmental initiatives for the forthcoming year.

We continue the effective management of energy on site. Our aim is to reduce gas usage from 32 kWH per £1000 of product (2007) to 30kWH as well as the ongoing reduction of Electricity usage: the reduction from 33 units per £1000 of product (2007) to 30 units as well as targeting other areas.

Our waste reduction target will be to reduce waste from 1.5 tonnes per £1,000,000 of product to 1.3.

We will continue our review of our packaging and aim to reduce total product packaging by 5% compared to last year. Returnable supplier packaging will be increased by 25% on last year.

As well as the leading UK manufacturer of ventilation equipment Nuaire is also committed to sustainable development:

• Have a sustainable procurement policy and assess the environmental performance of our suppliers and key contractors.
• Employ and manufacture in the UK rather than purchasing products and services from abroad. This vastly reduces the carbon footprint of Nuaire.
• Have "Fair Trade" vending machine supplies
• Supporting charitable causes and local donations / sponsorships
